The White Horse is one of Great Baddow’s three remaining central pubs, along with The Blue Lion and The King’s Head. The Star Inn and The Beehive up Baddow Road are also still open.
The White Horse is by far the largest pub in the village and has an extensive dining area as well as bar area. Food is served all day (until 10pm), they keep a good selection of ales which are sourced from 90 brewers across the country. It is part of the Ember Inns chain of pubs.
There is a pleasant outside seating area which overlooks the junction with Vicarage Lane and Galleywood Road. They have free wi-fi at the pub too, so it can be a nice place to relax and catch up with emails after a busy day in the office.
Each Wednesday and Sunday evening they host a pub quiz with cash prizes. You can sometimes see me there; we came second once!
