Park and Ride

Just outside Great Baddow is the Sandon Park and Ride station which has fast buses into Chelmsford every 7 minutes at peak times. Park and Ride buses run until 7pm, after which you need to catch a Maldon bus to get back. Currently day tickets are £2.50, which is significantly cheaper than daily parking in Chelmsford. Children under 16 travel for free too.

The Park and Ride station is within walking distance of Great Baddow but there is only a grass verge for the first part of the walk along Maldon Road. Not suitable for buggies, young children, wheelchairs etc. and can be muddy in winter. Parking is free.
