Russells Restaurant is Great Baddow’s traditional restaurant which serves fine English and French dishes. The restaurant is spacious and friendly with a seperate function room and a balcony area that overlooks the main restaurant floor. There is also a lounge area next tot the bar to relax before and after a meal.
Russells is set within a Timbered Tithe Barn which is a Grade 2 listed building. The barn dates back to 1372 and is one of the oldest buildings in the Chelmsford area.
Russells opened in 1989 and is managed by Barry Warren-Watson who is also head chef.
On the menu you will find dishes such as Grilled Large Tiger Prawns, Home-Made Smoked Haddock and Sweet Corn Fish Cakes, Chefs Russian Potato Salad with Thin Slices of Smoked Gressingham, Duo of Rump of Lamb and Slow Braised Pressed Shoulder and Seared Stone Bass Fillet, Creamy Saffron Risotto, Spinach, Watercress Veloutè.
