The Society was formed in October 1941 at the Parish Hall to help with the “Dig for Victory” Campaign during the war. There are currently over 900 members,

Each year the society organises 3 flower and vegetable shows, plant sales as well as coach trips to flower shows and fairs. There is a monthly meeting at the Parish Hall.

They have a “Trading Hut” where members can buy compost, fertilizer and various other gardening products.
