They do karaoke once on a month on a Friday or Saturday. Live singers also visit each month. They also do Sunday roasts. In the summer they often do barbecues in the garden. They have a plasma screen for live sports. Also in the car park is the Lobster Pot where you can get fresh seafood.

According to the 1851 census George Potter, and innkeeper and shoemaker, live at the The Beehive. In 1871 Charles Heard is listed as a licensed victualler, and again 1881 Charles Heard was listed as Innkeeper, with 8 other family members (wife, mother, aunt, 4 daughters and a son) and a lodger living at the pub. By 1891 Hyam Pierce had taken ownership. Over the following 50 years the ownership changed on a regular basis, as with any modern pub today.
