Great Baddow has several Brownies and Guides groups in and around the village. The Girlguilding groups ask that you always contact them via their website, www.girlguiding.org.uk, to make an appointment for a first visit.
Unfortunately these clubs are very popular and some may already be full.
Rainbows are the youngest Girlguiding units for girls aged five to seven. You can learn about the Rainbow programme on the Girlguiding website,
Brownies is the Girl Guiding group for 7 to 11 year-olds. There are three divisions in Great Baddow and one in Sandon. Contact Girlguiding for details of meetings.
Guides is the Girl Guiding group for 11 to 14 year-olds. There are several groups in Baddow and one in Sandon.
The Rangers units are for girls and young women aged from 14 to 25 years.
The Sandon Brownies, Guides and Scout groups have traditionally served the east side of Great Badddow, generally matching the same catchment as The Sandon School.
We cannot share details of where or when the meetings take place here because Girlguiding guidelines state that unit meeting places and times should not be published for child protection reasons.
See also the Girlguiding Essex North East website for more information on local groups.
