The Chelmsford Organ and Keyboard club meet at 7.15pm on the third Saturday of each month at the United Reformed Church to perform a concert.
They formed in 1972 and since February 1992 they have been meeting at the same Baddow venue ever since. Before moving to the URC they met in pubs, clubs, hotels and village halls.
The church provides a great setting for their regular concerts. Notable players have included Harry Stoneham, George Blackmore, Ena Barga and Robin Richmond.
This club is considered to be “one of the friendliest groups of organ enthusiasts”. There are around 130 members.
Concerts are the third Saturday of every month and commence at 7.45pm (doors open at 7.15pm) unless otherwise stated.
