There are two WI groups in Great Baddow, one meets on Monday evenings and the other on Thursday afternoons.

Baddow Hall WI

Baddow Hall WI is Great Baddow’s Women’s Institute evening group. They meet on the third Monday of every month, except August, at 7.45pm in the Parish Hall. All visitors are very welcome.

The group have various sub-groups where women with specific interests get together. There is a film group which meets monthly to watch a film with a cup of tea. There is also a drama group who meet weekly.

The Great Baddow Afternoon Women’s Institute

The Great Baddow WI meet on the fourth Thursday of the month, except August, at 2pm in the United Reformed Church.

Members usually arrive before 2pm to have a natter and catch up on news and events, and the local gossip. There is always a bring and buy stall too and a raffle each week.

Visitors are welcome to come along to try; there is a small fee and only three visits are allowed before you will be asked to join up as full members. Annual membership is £34.70 (2014 prices),
