My dad found this postcard at his mum’s house in New Road. It is from my grandmother to her sister, presumably just after moving in to New Road from Leigh-on-Sea.
Not sure of the year, it looks like the postmark might be 22 May 1926, certainly some time before 1936 when King George V stamps would have been replaced with Edward VIII ones.
Why don’t new homes come with postcards today?
